Landscape Photo Walk Workshop at Scarborough Bluffs with local photographer Chris Noronha and Tdot Shots
Join photographers Chris Noronha and Mike Simpson on October 18 for a unique photo walk workshop at the stunning Scarborough Bluffs. Often taken for granted by locals, The Bluffs are a true natural wonder in Toronto, offering a dramatic landscape that rises 90 meters above the shoreline of Lake Ontario. This event is a rare opportunity to explore the area with two experienced leaders who will guide you to some of the most photogenic spots within the vast Bluffs Park system, including the iconic Bluffers Park with its accessible beach.
Chris Noronha, a Scarborough native and talented landscape photographer, has a newfound appreciation for The Bluffs, which is evident in his stunning, moody images. He’ll share his personal insights on how to capture the majestic beauty of this location, from the unique rock formations to the expansive views of Lake Ontario and the sky. This workshop is designed to help you see this familiar landmark through a fresh lens and learn how to translate its epic scale and shifting moods into powerful photographs.

This is more than just a photo walk; it’s a chance to learn from a local expert who understands the unique character of this landscape. Whether you are new to photography or looking to expand your skills, this workshop will provide you with the techniques and inspiration you need to create your own captivating images of The Bluffs. Come discover a new perspective on one of Toronto’s most breathtaking natural landmarks and capture its beauty with your camera.
Comment from our workshop facilitator and local guide:
“I’m really looking forward to showing you the beauty of the Scarborough Bluffs in the fall. If you’ve never visited during this season, you’re in for a real treat! This workshop is a great opportunity to sharpen your skills in capturing both the natural landscape and candid lifestyle images of the many visitors who enjoy the Bluffs. We’ll explore artistic techniques such as composition, framing, and storytelling, while also covering technical skills like managing exposure in changing light and using depth of field for impact. A DSLR or mirrorless camera is ideal, but a phone camera will work too. Tripods are recommended for stability, especially if you’d like to try long exposures, but they are not required. And of course, dress for the weather. The goal is to enjoy the process, build confidence, and leave with compelling fall images you’ll be proud of.”
