About Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
Mount Pleasant Cemetery is a historic cemetery in Toronto, designated a National Historic Site of Canada, that serves as both a burial ground and a public park. It’s important because it’s a significant example of 19th-century landscape design, a final resting place for prominent figures, and a space for contemplation and recreation.
Mount Pleasant Cemetery is considered to be one of the finest arboretums in Canada. Photographic potential includes nature subjects such as trees and gardens and architectural subjects including headstones and family crypts.
