1. Who are you?
Mark 40 yrs old, Mississauga native – Residing in Toronto – a Toronto Paramedic – 1990s hip hop junkie – Husband and Father of 2
2. How did you get into photography?
I have always been into graffiti, I started taking pictures of graffiti around the city with my cellphone and then eventually my wife bought me a DSLR for Christmas and I have been hooked ever since!
3. What do you like to shoot and where?
I like street photography around the city – urban abandoned, in Detroit and looking to get into more travel photography in 2019.
4. What kind of gear do you use?
Nikon d750 – Tamron 24 to 70 G2
5. Who are your favourite photographers?
@likeamacheen, @soteeoh, @718sean.p , @markusweaver
Bonus question: What is the appeal of street shooting as opposed to cityscape or portraits or other genres?
I love the streets it’s real, raw, and unpredictable.
I have always loved walking around the city and people watching, now I just do it with a camera. Capturing people doing everyday activities, seeing the beauty in parts of the city that otherwise may go unnoticed.
The streets are full energy and I love being able to capture that in a photo that can tell a story about a moment in time.
