We have reached many milestones and celebrating our two-year anniversary ranks as an important marker. We launched in late May 2018. I posted the first few photos on Instagram while travelling from Niagara to Toronto on a Go Train. It was exciting watching those first few likes and follows arrive. It was a very slow but rewarding process, building the @tdot_shots page and getting to know so many members of the Toronto photo community.
By our estimate we have featured about 500 photographers. We have our favourites but we try to always support newcomers and our loyal supporters alike. We generally employ a comment for comment approach. You can be assured if you support our page we will support you back.
With our community of supporters nearing 20k we have strong forward momentum. From May 15 to July 1 we held a successful second annual photo contest with the support of our sponsor ProLab Canada. We feel blessed to have such generous support. Our engagement rates reflect that and we are thankful!
2020-2021 promises to be another period of growth and expansion. We hope to resume our photo walks this year and over the next 18 months we will publish a book and launch a photo exhibit. We hope you’ll be along for the ride. And we will continue supporting you on your creative journey!
Here’s to you and Tdot Shots! Cheers!
