Thank You GTA Photographers for a Great Photography Workshop with Paul Flynn and Tdot Shots
You came from far and wide to attend this excellent photo walk and workshop on Saturday Nov. 30 in downtown Toronto. We were guided by our friend and long exposure mentor Paul Flynn. Big thanks to Paul and all who attended.
In this post I’ll describe the workshop and share some images and tips. This route can be replicated by anyone who is brave enough at this time of the year to go out and shoot street photography on the chilly streets of Toronto. Well, it’s frosty but we all agreed it wasn’t too bad. Our leader, Paul, even uses USB hand warmers to help him beat the chill!
The route was absolutely killer. Paul and Mike (Tdot Shots founder) had scouted a week earlier and located about 5 or 6 stops for us to set up and shoot long exposures, with plenty of sidewalk room for our group and our various tripods and other various gear.
Some highlights from the walk:
- St. Lawrence Market
- St. Lawrence Hall
- St. James Cathedral
- Bay and King financial district
- Roy Thomson Hall
So that is a perfect route for a two hour walkabout and allows for about 10-15 minutes at each of the key locations.
Huge shoutout to all who came and those who edited their shots to be included in this gallery. The following are shots contributed directly to a group Instagram post and some various embeds from our particiiapnts. Cheers to all contributors and supporters of the event!
