Creative Events in the City
Always check out the photography and creative events around town! From Taku Kumabe’s sunrise photo walk meetup to our own Tdot Shots events, there are some special events going on!
Some are free and some are paid. All are worth your while. We would recommend the amazing meetup with Taku. This year it takes place at Sheldon Lookout right near the Humber Bay Arch bridge. Very convenient as it is located near Sunnyside beach, parking and public transit. Visit the website for more information.
Tdot Shots and Tdot.cc Photo Events
We host a number of events from the Paul Flynn Long Exposure Workshop with Paul Flynn to the U of T Photo Walk Tour with Mike Simpson.
Make sure to sign up for the free Photo Contest Awards Ceremony meetup. This photo walk explores the financial district and we will hand out awards to winners plus have some giveaways for participants.

- Toronto Christmas Market: Kick off the holiday season at the Distillery District’s Christmas Market.
- Royal Agricultural Winter Fair: This major event usually runs throughout November.
- Royal Ontario Museum: Explore special November exhibits at the ROM.
- Fall foliage tours: Take a final tour of fall colors at the Toronto Botanical Garden

- Allan Gardens (operated by the city of Toronto)
Featured Events and Venues
Here are three favorite spots in TO to explore this early winter season.
Quirky Tip – Winter Village is known commonly as the Toronto Christmas Market
Regarding the name for the Distillery District event, as search results confirm, many people and publications (including the official FAQ) still refer the Winter Village colloquially as the “Toronto Christmas Market” because of the well-established tradition (that former name persisted up to 2021).
Summary
Where are you headed in Toronto this season? As fall wraps up and the colors fade we can all enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor offerings. Keep busy and enjoy the cool weather in the city.
